On April 18th, Bulgaria local time, the first "Chinese Culture Day" in the Chelopech in Bulgaria was successfully held in the Private Foreign Languages School in Chelopech (ЧПГЧО.). The "Chinese Culture Day" event was supported by the Confucius Institute at the University of Veliko Tarnovo and the Private Foreign Languages School in Chelopech. The Chinese teachers, Xu Wei, Hu Min from the Confucius Institute at the University of Veliko Tarnovo and some local students have organized together. On the day of the event, the interesting Chinese cultural experience activities have attracted the enthusiastic participation of teachers and students from the middle school and local villagers, and have received wide praise from everyone.

This "China Culture Day" has set up four different Chinese cultural experience activities: "Chopsticks" challenge, "Memory Jigsaw” puzzle, "Deciphering Chinese Character" and Chinese calligraphy experience, which requires students to experience it personally. There are activities that acquire both body cooperation and Chinese knowledge, so that every participating audience can experience Chinese culture from different depths.

An eighth-grade student named Liya was active in various booths during the “Chinese Culture Day”. She said with excitement: "My dress was specially bought from a Chinese store. I really like Chinese culture and I hope Chinese cultural activities like today can be held frequently."
