- Summary/Abstract: Since the launch of the 16 + 1 initiative in 2012, economic exchanges between China and the countries in Central and Eastern Europe have been significantly strengthened. What is the balance after this period and do the participants in this initiative and especially Bulgaria achieve their goals? The article analyzes the trade and investment flows between China and the countries of Central and Eastern Europe, focusing on Bulgaria and outlining the characteristics and specifics of the situation in our country compared to other participants in the initiative.
