- Summary/Abstract: The present paper is part of a series of publications focused on the study and systematization of key prerequisites for the formation and sustainable preservation of moral values in Chinese society. The author aims at revealing the development of the jiaxun genre – 家训 – during the Song dynasty. This was a period of great achievements in the fields of technology, material production, political philosophy, state government and elitist culture, which propelled Chinese civilization to the position of a leading world power.
