- Summary/Abstract: In the context of global climate change, China’s pursuit of achieving peak carbon emissions by 2030 and carbon neutrality by 2060, known as the “Dual Carbon” goals, presents new opportunities for international cooperation in green education and sustainable development. As a pioneer in global climate governance, the European Union (EU) has led the exploration and implementation of green and low-carbon education initiatives. Under the European Green Deal, the EU’s concepts, objectives, and actions in green and low-carbon education align with the principles of talent cultivation, meet the demands of the green transition, and reflect international trends. These efforts offer valuable insights for advancing green and low-carbon education in China.
